We got the call at lunch to come on in to the doctor. We had our first ultrasound and everything looked great. It looks like there is just one little baby in there, but they won't rule out twins until next week. Today I am 5 weeks 5 days pregnant and the sac measured 5 weeks 4 days and anything within a week is considered normal. Because we are still so early, we missed seeing the heart beat by like a few days. If we had gone in the morning we might have been able, but it was just still too early. I get my bloodwork back tomorrow to make sure everything is still looking good, but the nurse and the tech said everything looked picture perfect. The black circle is the sac and the round circle in the middle is the yolk (what's used until the placenta takes over). The little white dot at the bottom of the circle is what "could" be the baby, but since we didn't see a heartbeat the tech wouldn't say for sure. Look for an update tomorrow with labs.
